Amikar Dayal is the Founder Chairman of Cricket Academy of Bihar. He founded the academy with a group of friends, family and like-minded sports supporters and gamechangers. 

About Amikar Dayal, Founder Chairman

Amikar is the former Captain of India Youth Cricket Team & Founder Chairman of The tag heuer replica watches Cricket Academy of Bihar located at the southern premises of the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Patna. Amikar is the only trained level-II coach of National Cricket Academy, BCCI & E.C.B. in Bihar. He started the Cricket Academy of Bihar along with friends and well-wishers in 2001 to coach young cricketers of Bihar who have been deprived of coaching support and facilities to compete at the national and international level.

Achievements as a sportsperson:

• Captained Indian youth cricket team against West Indies & Australia (under 22) & (under19) from 1984-1987
• Awarded twice the highest honor Bihar Gaurav, in 1987 and 1997.
• Played in England as a professional overseas cricketer in the premier English county league from 1984 to 1995.
• Represented Derbyshire county league eleven (England) in 1986 & 1988.
• Played Ranji trophy for Bihar from 1985-1991 & again from 1993-1994 (has Ranji trophy record for the opening partnership to his credits).
• Represented Tripura Ranji team as a professional in the year 1997-1998.
• Represented east zone in Duleep & Deodhar trophies.
• Captained Bihar youth teams under-15 & under-19, under- 22 between 1980-1989.
• Captained East zone under-19 & under- 22 between 1980-1989.
• Awarded best cricketer of the year by Bihar Cricket Association in 1986.
• Awarded best young cricketer in the year by Board Of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
• Ranji trophy selector for Bihar in 2002-2003.

Other activities & engagements :

• Chairman, Cricket Academy of Bihar (more than 1200 trainees are being trained for the last 18 years on a daily basis which includes more than 170 national & international players).
• Conducted coaching camps for cricketers along with Dronacharya awardee Shri Desh Prem Azad around the country.
• Acted as the technical head during world cup cricket match held in Patna in 1996.
• Regularly organize functions to generate funds for underprivileged cricketers and sportspersons.
• Cricket expert for various national T.V. and Radio, BBC Radio, NDTV, ETV, Doordarshan, Sahara Samay, etc.

Personal details:

Amikar is the son of Dr. P. Dayal, Ex-vice Chancellor and internationally renowned geographer. He is married to TV journalist Saadia Azim. They have a daughter Samarah. He stays at Rampur House, Rampur Road, Patna, in Bihar. He can be contacted at the following email ids and telephone numbers.
